That’s right, there are 2 confirmed 3-day festivals now celebrating the 50th anniversary of Woodstock this summer! The first one, which was announced a couple of weeks ago, is taking place August 16-18 in Bethel Woods. No word yet on who’s playing the festival.
Original Woodstock co-creator Michael Lang is putting on the second festival, which is also taking place August 16-18, but in Watkins Glen. Lang said over 40 performers have been booked already, but won’t be announcing the acts until tickets go on sale in February. Lang did say it will feature hip hop, rock, pop and some legacy bands from the original lineup. August is going to be a busy month!!
