[WATCH] Grammys Pay Tribute to Kobe Bryant, Investigation Still Ongoing

The entire world is still in shock over the death of LA Lakers star basketball player, Kobe Bryant.

Bryant, 41 was killed Sunday in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California along side his 13 year old daughter Gianna, and seven others. Shortly after the news came down, hundreds of people gathered outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles to pay their respects. The crash coincided with the 2020 Grammy Awards which were scheduled to take place at the Staples Center.

Music’s biggest night opened the award show with a powerful performance by Lizzo in which she said, “Tonight is for Kobe.” Shortly after, host Alicia Keys came out on stage with a tribute of her own as she was soon joined by Boyz II Men for a heartfelt performance in memory of Bryant.

Nine people died in the crash. The exact cause is still under investigation.
