In a recent interview, Brandon Flowers revealed that the only part of the new album from The Killers that needs to be done is mixing. He told Vampire Weekend‘s Ezra Koenig that “It’s almost done and we’re going to mix the record next week. We don’t have a drop date.”
News on the band’s seventh album comes after they teased new music by sharing two brief snippets of a new song in a recent Instagram live broadcast.
In other news, the band’s front man is set to undergo shoulder surgery and will be in a sling for at least 6 weeks after a bike accident in which he said: “I went over the handlebars on my bike and an injury from that has manifested itself. I have a torn labrum on that [right] shoulder so I am going under the knife in a couple of weeks to get that taken care off”.
