St. Pere, 52, took an interest in drumming at a very young age and was heavily influenced by the band Rush and the style of their legendary drummer, Neil Peart.

Hum released their major label debut, ‘You’d Prefer an Astronaut’ in 1995 and the single “Stars” catapulted the group into super stardom.
Along with Matt Talbot, Tim Lash, and Jeff Dimpsey, Bryan St. Pere made up the most recognizable lineup of the band who just last year released their reunion album, ‘Inlet’.
No cause of death has been given.
