BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. (June 9, 2026) — The wait is over. The Island Takeover: Summer on Papermill concert series officially launches tonight, kicking off a full season of live music along the Seneca River at Papermill Island — and the opening week is stacked with can’t-miss shows.
The 95X-presented summer series begins Tuesday with a high-energy headliner and continues through the week with a mix of genres, including a free fan-favorite night and a major Sunday performance to close out opening week.
🎸 Tuesday, June 9: Almost Monday (Series Kickoff)
The summer officially starts tonight as Almost Monday headlines the Island Takeover opener with support from Poetry for Boys.
The alt-pop trio, who share a unique connection to Syracuse — including the origin of their band name tracing back to the 315 — bring a bright, summer-ready sound to the island stage. The show represents the official kickoff to the entire Island Takeover series, setting the tone for the weeks ahead.
