BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. — Summer on Papermill Island turns up the volume this week with a national touring artist, holiday cheer in the middle of summer, and plenty of reasons to head to Baldwinsville for another unforgettable week of Island Takeover. Following last week’s Island Foam Fest, the island is set for one of its biggest weeks of the season.

A powerful summer night of live music is coming to Papermill Island as Matt Maeson takes the stage as part of Island Takeover.
Known for his raw lyrics, emotional performances, and deeply personal songs, Maeson has built a devoted following through hits that blend alternative rock, folk, and introspective songwriting. Joining him are acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter Hazlett and Central New York favorite Jon Lunden.
Hazlett’s intimate folk sound and growing international audience have made him one of the genre’s most exciting emerging artists, while Jon Lunden continues to build a strong regional following with his energetic alternative rock sound and engaging live performances.
Set against the backdrop of the Seneca River, this promises to be one of the summer’s most anticipated concerts.

Coming Up Next Week: Island Night Market & Totally 80’s Night
The fun doesn’t stop after this week.
On Thursday, July 30th, the Island Night Market returns with local vendors, artists, makers, food, and live acoustic music from Connor Campbell. Admission is free and gates open at 5 PM.
Then on Friday, July 31st, it’s time to break out the neon and leg warmers for Totally 80’s Night Featuring The Arcade. One of Central New York’s premier 80’s tribute bands will bring the sights and sounds of the MTV era to Papermill Island for a summer throwback party. Gates open at 6 PM and music starts at 7 PM.
