Now that the teasing is over, the payoff comes in the form of a new song and video for “Part of the Band”, The 1975‘s first offering from their upcoming fifth release, ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’. The 11-song album will drop on October 14th.

Lyrically, the new song is full of sexual innuendo and self-deprecating humor. Musically, it’s a quirky blend of Alterna-Folk with an orchestral accompaniment that maintains the unique quality of any song in the band’s catalog in that it’s not like anything else they’ve ever done.
The band will perform live for the first time in about 2 years at Japan’s Summer Sonic festival on August 20th and 21st.
