BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. — Island Takeover keeps the summer momentum rolling this week with three unique events at Papermill Island, featuring a high-energy Foam Fest, a throwback Emo Night, and the debut of 95X and 1UP Wrestling’s Island Showdown headlined by former WWE star Chris Adonis.
As Island Takeover’s summer-long entertainment series continues, this week’s lineup offers something for nearly every audience. The season-long event series runs through September with live music, themed parties, community events, national touring artists, and family-friendly experiences.
Island Foam Fest Returns to Cool Off Summer
The week kicks off with Island Foam Fest on Wednesday, July 8, with free admission and gates opening at 6 p.m.
Guests can expect foam cannons, DJ-driven music, dancing, and a high-energy party atmosphere overlooking the Seneca River. Organizers are encouraging attendees to wear clothing they don’t mind getting wet as the island transforms into a giant foam-filled dance floor.
Food and beverage vendors will also be available throughout the evening, making it a perfect midweek summer destination.
Emo Night Takes Over Thursday
On Thursday, July 9, Emo Night arrives at Papermill Island with another free event beginning at 6 p.m.
The popular themed night will feature a DJ spinning the emo and pop-punk songs that defined a generation, creating a sing-along atmosphere packed with nostalgia and energy. Whether attendees grew up attending emo shows or simply enjoy throwback alternative hits, organizers promise a night filled with fan-favorite anthems under the summer sky.
Food and drinks will again be available on-site.
Island Showdown Brings Professional Wrestling to Baldwinsville
The week’s biggest ticketed event comes on Saturday, July 11, when 95X and 1UP Wrestling Present Island Showdown at Papermill Island.
The event will feature“The Masterpiece” Chris Adonis, known to many wrestling fans for his WWE run as Chris Masters.
Doors open at 4 p.m., with the first bell scheduled for 5:05 p.m.
