Noel and Liam Gallagher have responded after reports said Manchester City were found guilty of 114 of 115 charges involving Premier League financial rules.
Speaking on the Manchester City podcast Let Me Talk, Noel Gallagher described the reported outcome as a shock after the club had consistently denied wrongdoing. He said he felt particularly sorry for the supporters and players affected by the situation.
Asked whether the ruling changed how he viewed Manchester City’s past successes, Noel pointed to what supporters experienced on the pitch. He said he knew what he saw and felt during those moments and confirmed that he would continue supporting the club.
Liam Gallagher took a more direct approach on social media. The Oasis singer rejected a post about the reported ruling before sharing CTID, short for City Till I Die.
Manchester City was charged in February 2023 following a four-year investigation. The club continues to deny wrongdoing and says the process remains ongoing, with significant elements still to be completed. No sanctions have been announced.
