A New York Supreme Court Justice has ruled that Dentsu Aegis, the Japanese company that was funding Woodstock 50 does not have to repay the $17.8 million they withdrew from the event’s bank account. The same judge ruled that the company had no authority to cancel the event which means that Woodstock L.L.C. is free to proceed with the festival. Here’s what it all means.

In a court battle between Nirvana L.L.C. and designer Marc Jacobs over the use of the iconic smiley face logo, some pretty big names have been ordered to testify.
