The organization began as Syracuse Guerrilla Gay Bar – a series of pop up events at local businesses where the queer community could gather – and has grown into a broader effort to promote safe, joyful, and visible spaces for queer connection and community across the Central New York region.
  • “We are expanding the event offerings this year as this is a way to show up for the LGBTQIA+ community – here in Central New York and beyond. It’s more important than ever to reach out, connect with your friends, and support local queer artists, businesses, and organizers,” said Kevin Bailey, Founder of Come Out CNY.
  • CNY Pride is proud to support Pride events throughout the Central New York region, including Manlius on June 14, Cazenovia on June 28, Rochester and Cortland on July 19. Please visit https://www.comeoutcentralnewyork.com/ for more information.

Tuesday, July 8th

The Syracuse Salt Cats are proud to host their annual ALS Awareness Night on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Onondaga Community College Baseball Field, with first pitch at 7:00 p.m. against the Watertown Rapids. This community-centered event will feature an ice cream truck, full concession stand, and a crowd-favorite finale: the entire Salt Cats team taking part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge after the game. All donations from the evening will benefit the ALS Association Upstate New York Chapter, supporting research and resources for those affected by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
ALS Awareness Night is a cherished event that brings together baseball and community to support a critical cause. This year they are carrying on the annual Syracuse Spartans-Syracuse Salt Cats tradition that has continued for the last seven years, this time bringing on the Watertown Rapids while the Spartans are on a leave of absence. We encourage all fans, families, and supporters to come out, enjoy a great game, and help make a difference.
