Alt legends Violent Femmes have a new album dropping on July 26th called Hotel, Last Resort. The band released “Stream”, the first single from that album earlier today. The Femmes Summer will be busy as they head out on the road with Ben Folds. More details here.

Woodstock 50 organizer Michael Lang says “not so fast” in an email blast to fans, regarding the cancellation of the 3-day festival set for Watkins Glenn August 16th-18th. Saying that “Woodstock belongs to the people and not the financial backers”, Lang maintains that the backers have no authority to cancel the event and he promises that the show WILL go on.
