Alex Trebek close to tears from contestant wager, ‘We Love You Alex’

Jeopardy host Alex Trebek was almost in tears Monday night from a contestant’s wager.

Instead of offering an answer during Final Jeopardy, contestant Dhruv Gaur’s answer was “We love you, Alex.”

In a series of Tweets, Gaur admitted that he didn’t know the answer. So instead of guessing, he decided it would be better to offer the Jeopardy host with loving words after announcing he will be reentering treatment for Pancreatic Cancer.

Soon after, the hashtag #WeLoveYouAlex began trending worldwide.
