Who knew Denny’s even put on live shows? Maybe more don’t because of fear of the type of damages like those sustained to a Santa Ana, California location when the band Wacko played their “Grand Slam Gig” on December 14th. When the band’s promoter set up a Go-Fund-Me campaign, he never thought that Green Day would make a donation that covered the costs and then some. The band even left the 17-year-old a special note.
Wow, @GreenDay dropped $2k to help the #wacko kids and young Bryson in the aftermath of the Great Denny’s Punk Rock Riot of 2019. Special shout to @DennysDiner for renting a 50-person room to a 17year-old and then shaking him down for $1800 to cover the Moons of My Hammy Spread pic.twitter.com/5dDPsVBYI8
