Dumb Criminals 2-18-2020 The Morning Mess

  •  a Terre Haute, Indiana man with a “Crime Pays” tattoo on his forehead has been arrested for the second time in two months. Donald Murray’s mugshot and tattoo went viral after he was arrested on an episode of “Live PD” in December. He led cops on a high-speed chase before being charged with criminal recklessness. Murray was eventually released, but has been arrested again following another vehicle pursuit.
  • There’s a 28-year-old guy named Stefan Short in DeLand, Florida.  And on Friday night, someone spotted him shoplifting ribeye steaks from a grocery store . . . by shoving them down his pants. The manager started chasing him and grabbed him, but Stefan wriggled out of his clothes and ran out of the store NAKED. Unfortunately for him, the cops were waiting outside.  And when he wouldn’t stop, they TASED him. And either accidentally or maybe a little on purpose, one of the Taser prongs went straight into his GENITALS. He went to the hospital, and there’s no word on how his junk is.  He’s been charged with theft and resisting arrest.
  •  a 36 year-old Stark County, Ohio woman repeatedly called 911 after her parents shut off her phone. Seloni Khetarpal demanded cops come to her house and question her parents about why they cut off her cell service. Officers charged her with disrupting public services because she kept calling dispatchers demanding help. Officers described her as belligerent.
  •  an armed gang stole hundreds of toilet paper rolls yesterday in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is currently experiencing a toilet paper shortage due to the coronavirus. A delivery man was unloading the toilet paper at a grocery store when the trio of knife-wielding men stole his load.
  • hackers are using the coronavirus to steal people’s personal information. Hackers are gaining access to people’s computers after they download files or click on links. Police say people should delete emails from unknown senders
  • the Marietta, Georgia police recently arrested a couple for stealing and pawning a homeowner’s valuables while he was away on vacation. The homeowner hired Thomas Rountree and Stacy Craven to repair his home while he was in Tampa, Florida. Thomas and Stacy entered the home and stole $17,000 worth of property. They then pawned the items before the homeowner returned home and called the police. A pawn shop employee identified the couple.
