John Tumino of InMyFathersKitchen with The Morning Mess

We were so happy to bring our friend John Tumino back into the studio this morning.  John and his wife, Leigh-Ann, started In My Father’s Kitchen  in 2011… since then they have brought 184 homeless in from life on the street.  They do weekly outreach, provide meals and basic necessities to those not ready to move inside.  They’ve begun Hire Ground, an initiative to give the opportunity to work to those who need it most, while connecting them with social and medical services and often finding a job too!  Life House is under construction… a safe place for women recovering from sex trafficking.  They make the most amazing pasta sauce… while giving jobs to the homeless or formerly homeless.  And Syracuse has finally recognized the contributions… John is this year’s St. Patrick’s Parade GAEL!  He’s excited to paint the green stripe on Salina St.  And we’re proud to call them friends.  Hear the visit with John on our soundcloud page now.
