If you grew up in the 80’s/early 90’s you’re about to be hit with a ton of nostalgia!

Someone has uploaded hundreds of hours of video footage of original programming from MTV between 1980 and 1989, and it’s all free to watch on the wonderful invention known as the Internet.

The footage has been uploaded to the Internet Archive, a non-profit website that preserves old websites, video, and tons more in a fully functional vault of pure nostalgia.

The MTV content is part of a section of the website called “80s MTV VHS Recordings 1981 to 1989 Collection.” The only catch is that because the website is a non-profit and there’s limited bandwidth they are requiring that users sign up for a free account through the Internet Archive. If you’re cool with that though, you can enjoy countless hours of entertainment including the first four hours of MTV when it first launched, tons of countdown specials, VJ appearances, specials, and the entire LIVE AID broadcast from July 13, 1985. This also includes all of the original MTV promos and commercials from the 1980’s!

Check out the entire collection HERE from the Internet Archive.
